Nothing could have prepared you for the sensation of free falling-not skiing down the steepest mountain, not snowboarding, not even riding the biggest roller coaster in the world--but falling directly toward the Georgia ground. Fast. Spinning backwards and upwards, your senses in overdrive and the realization that you've been holding your breath for the past 60 seconds...there is nothing like it, is there?
Believe it or not, skydiving is even more exciting after you've taken advanced skydiving lessons that teach you things like back-flying, head-down flying, sit-flying, basic RW tracking and camera flying.
For example, learning accelerated free fall takes your skydiving experience to a completely new level. Remember how you used skydiving gear for your first jump? Instead of being harnessed to an instructor, now you're provided with a set of hand signals or a radio upon releasing your parachute and then-you're on your own! Using a radio or hand signals, your instructor will carefully guide you back to the dropzone.
What also surprises many amateur skydivers is that the cost of skydiving is affordable and more than worth it. In fact, Georgia skydiving prices haven't budged in the past few years, making this extreme sport a cost-effective way to experience the most intoxicating rush of adrenaline you'll ever experience-even if you could live two lifetimes
Skydiving lessons teach you how to perform 90 degree, bidirectional maneuvers, 360 degree maneuvers, "front loops" (mid-air somersaulting) and the art of tracking, a skill essential to gaining your skydiving license. Tracking involves rapidly moving forward to create distance between you and your instructor. The final step in completing advanced skydive training is simply practicing all you've learned from your accelerated free fall skydiving lessons. Once you've jumped from a plane, done a front loop, performed a 360 degree turn to the left and right and tracked away from the instructor-you've done it! You've earned your skydiving license!
